He was shot on the day he turned 21, and Savage took his harrowing experience and it fueled his meteoric musical rise. The Atlanta star dropped his well-received mixtapes in 2015 and the Free Guwop EP the same year, before storming the charts with "No Heart" and guesting on "Sneakin" by Drake. He dropped the hit "Bank Account" from Issa Album in 2017, released a collaborative project with Offset, and his 2nd album I Am > I Was hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
